The club's first gymnastics meet of 2022 was February 12th at Purdue University. We departed from Madison early Saturday Morning and returned Sunday afternoon. Saturday consisted of competition, a team dinner, and team bonding!
This Meet was our first judged competition that the club has participated in this year. The levels offered and competed were Women's Level 8 and Men's NCAA Modified.

The 2022 Golden Grips Invite was hosted by the Purdue Gymnastics Club. The event included five teams: Purdue, Illinois, Indiana University, Bowling Green State University, and the Wisconsin Gymnastics Club.

Maya Barron placed first on Vault.
We had a great time at the Golden Grips Invitational, our first meet of 2022! There were nine women and three men competing. Four of the women also competed in men's events. We had four upperclassmen participate and eight underclassmen; the first judged NAIGC meet for the underclassmen! Congratulations to Maya Barron, Freshman, and Lucy Ault, Freshman, who placed first on Vault and Bars, respectively.
We'd really like to thank Mrs. Barron for helping the team get to the meet on Saturday. We're so glad that everyone was able to make it to the meet and compete!
We had a lot of fun at this meet and we're excited for the rest of the 2022 season. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this awesome meet.
